Opening times, Guided tours, & Special Events
Everyone is welcome to attend the meditation courses and retreats. The centre is also open for school and group visits throughout the year, and from Sat 6 March visitors can enjoy the Conservatory café and Guided Tours.
Many people come to Manjushri Centre each year simply to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings.
Just south of the Lake District, Conishead Priory is situated in seventy acres of beautiful woodland and gardens on the shores of Morecambe Bay.
The centre is open to the public daily, throughout the year, offering a range of visitor services. Opening times vary seasonally so please check before visiting to avoid disappointment. Free parking is available and most of the ground floor of the historic house and all of the Temple is wheelchair accessible.
Admission to to the Temple, Gift Shop, Café, Grounds and toilets is free. The house is only open for viewing on a guided tour - Adults £2.50, Children free.
The centre also hosts a number of special events each year that are open to the public.

PLEASE NOTE:There is a change to opening hours between Fri 2nd and Sun 11th July due to our International Teacher Training Programme taking place in the Temple. Opening hours:
Weekends: 1.15 - 4.15pm
Weekdays: 2 - 4.15pm - Except Thurs 8th only which will be : 2 - 5pm
Guided tours
The fascinating hour-long guided tour of the house and Temple brings alive the spiritual and healing work at Conishead Priory over the centuries. Available at weekends and bank holidays during the season at 2pm or 3.30pm. The tour starts with a DVD showing the history of Conishead Priory and its transformation into the Buddhist Centre.

Garden Open Days
Sat 24th and Sun 25th April: 1 – 4pm
Free guided tours.
Explore 70 acres of gardens and woodland surrounding this historic Gothic mansion. The Temple garden is an oasis of peace. Restored greenhouse, lake & wildlife garden, arboretum, cottage gardens. Woodland walks to Morecambe Bay. Free Guided House and Temple Tours from 1.30pm onwards with garden ticket. Conservatory Café and Gift Shop. Free parking. Admission £2.50, children free, all donations go to charities supported by National Gardens Scheme.
Heritage Open Days
Sat 4th and Sun 5th Sept: 1 – 4pm.
