Group visits
Manjushri KMC has been hosting Group visits for many years. Many diffrent types of people come to visit the World Peace Temple and learn about the spiritual life of the Buddhists who live here; view the historic house in its beautiful parkland setting; and enjoy the gardens and estuary shoreline of Morecambe Bay.

Conishead Priory
The Priory is a superb example of Romantic Gothic architecture completed in 1836 as the Braddyll’s family home, and stands on the site of a 12th century Augustinian Priory. It is has huge reception rooms with decorative ceilings, grand staircase, 48m long cloister corridor, amazing stained glass and vaulted great hall.

What to expect on a guided tour
You will spend 1½ hours with our Tour Guide. The tour starts with watching a DVD about the history of this place followed by explaining the historic features of the house. You will hear some of the stories of the people who have lived here since 1160. Then we will walk across to the Temple and explain its spiritual meaning and how it is used everyday for prayers and meditation. If you are bringing a packed lunch you can use our Dining Room (except between 1 and 2pm) if it is cold or raining. We can open the gift shop at a time to suit you. The Conservatory Café is closed on weekdays but we can serve refreshments in our Dining Room after the tour. The visit can start from 10am onwards.

Please email your preferred dates to: visits@manjushri.org or phone the Visits Manager (01229 584029). Sorry but we do not make bookings over the phone. Offical confirmation will only be given when we receive your booking form. We are very busy in the summer so please book early to avoid disappointment.
Fax or post your booking form with the agreed date and we will email or post a written confirmation the next working day.
Charges:
Guided Tour £2.50 each, Tea / Coffee & Cake £1.25 each. Total £3.75 per person.
Please pay at Reception during your visit.
