bluebell woods Conishead Priory is idyllically situated in 70 acres of grounds on the shores of Morecambe Bay.

The grounds are varied and have something of interest for everybody. The woodland has many old specimen trees such as Cedar of Lebanon and Ginko In late winter millions of snowdrops blanket the ground followed by a beautiful display of bluebells and primroses in Spring.

For the birdwatcher, three species of owl nest in the woodland and kingfishers can be spotted on the lake. Also there are nuthatch, treecreepers and little egret aswell as waterfowl and waders on the bay.

Around the Temple you can see the formal garden and victorian greenhouse.

Walking through the woodland to the bay you will find scenic views across to Chapel Island, Morecambe and Lancashire, with the Lakeland hills and Yorkshire Dales in the distance.

Many people come simply to relax in the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. Walkers, cyclists and picnickers welcome.

Dogs are welcome if kept on a lead.

The grounds are open to the public for most of the year.
