Closed for the International Spring Festival from Mon 13 May and reopens Wed 5 June
Manjushri KMC is a Buddhist meditation centre dedicated to the attainment of world peace by offering everyone the opportunity to develop lasting mental peace through meditation and related practices. You are welcome to take as much or as little as you wish from what is offered.
The programme at Manjushri KMC offers scientific methods for improving our human nature and qualities through developing the capacity of our mind. The year-round programme of meditation courses and retreats caters for people at all levels from complete beginners to advanced practitioners. See the programme of courses and retreats for September 2012 – August 2013.
The programme is open to everyone – young, old, working, retired, singles, couples, and families. The centre welcomes people from all faiths and those who do not subscribe to any faith. You do not have to be a Buddhist to take part in the programme or to benefit from it.
Manjushri KMC is the spiritual home of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the Founder of NKT-IKBU, where he lived and taught for many years.
Visitor centre
As part of Manjushri KMC’s commitment to serving the public the centre provides a unique visitor centre, which includes tours of the Temple and the historic house, shops, cafes, and seventy acres of gardens and grounds with a beach on the shores of Morecambe Bay open year round.
These facilities are available to day visitors, group and educational visits, and of course anyone who attends a meditation course or retreat at the centre.
